PICKUP OPTIONS:
We pick up kids from their schools. Easy Peasy!
For our Center Slope location (310 7th Ave @ 8th St) we pickup from:
39, 118, 133, 282, 321, 372, Berkeley Carroll, and the Roberts Field School.
For our South Slope location (479 7th Ave @ Windsor Pl) we pickup from:
10, 107, 130, 154, 230, 295, and BSI*.
*We do not pick up at BSI but will work with you to coordinate pick up at the private or regular bus stop. Email frontdesk@brooklyngamelab.com for more info including the option to sign up for the private bus specifically to go to Game Lab after school on the day(s) you need.
For our outdoor sessions held in Prospect Park, we pick up from all of the schools listed above!
INDOOR AFTERSCHOOL:

CREATIVE WRITING
After a year developing and running our weekend-based Writers’ Workshop we’re adding it to our afterschool lineup! This program is half Dungeons & Dragons and half creative writing. Kids bring new characters to life and design fantastical worlds - expanding on one element of fantasy storytelling each session. Is there anything cooler than creating a world and then jumping into it?
NOTE: We escort kids from Center Slope to South Slope just for this program! So kids at 321 and nearby schools can still get picked up by us and participate at this more-southernly location.

CHESS LAB
On select days at our Center Slope location we offer Chess Lab. This program is like no other chess program on the planet! In addition to traditional chess, our kids learn Japanese and Chinese variants. They design new chess pieces with unique moves, and test and compete with these as well - taking their game to the next level! At the end of the day, these kids join the rest of the kids at their location to participate in the Immortal Games!

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
On select days at our South Slope location we offer Dungeons & Dragons sessions. This is a popular role playing game where a narrator tells an immersive story and the kids play along as fantasy characters! If your child would love nothing more than to traverse imaginary worlds, then this is for them! At the end of the day, these kids join the rest of the kids at their location to participate in the Immortal Games!

BOARDGAMES
Every weekday in each location kids play new, modern-day board games, discuss strategy and design new versions of the games. Beyond having a great time, the kids are flexing their creative muscles and honing their critical thinking skills. Participants in this program will get a taste of the other indoor programs as well. The 4th week in every month is dedicated to either Dungeons & Dragons or our new Chess Lab.

ACTIVE PLAY
Kids love our all weather, outdoor gaming in Prospect Park! Our team has developed dozens of new, Brooklyn Game Lab-original games that are fun, social and active. Not to mention the ever-popular Battle Lab, where kids clash with safe foam weapons! This year we’ve added one more layer to outdoor programming - offering a proper fitness component for those kids who want to participate!

ONLINE D&D
Once you’re a member of the BGL family, you’re a member for life! For folks that can’t make it to the physical lab or the park we have another great option. Amazingly D&D is perfect for Zoom, allowing our dungeon masters to use digital assets to immerse kids in a world of possibilities that they don’t even have access to with in-person campaigns.
