We know how to run a great board game party! Kids love our taste in games, and our amazing party staff keeps everyone engaged and involved in the action.

We'll plan a great flow of games from one of our curated party themes, or you can create your own (we do accept requests)! Our party experts quickly teach kids the rules, and monitor the games to make sure fair play and good sports-kid-ship is maintained.

Tabletop Party Themes:

• Action Stations - fast paced, battle it out games with elements of push your luck and strategy; perfect for those who love superheroes, swords and sorcery where the action keeps coming!

• Party Animals – a combination of animal themed and co-operative social games; perfect for fans of animals, word games, or working as teams!

• Puzzle Solvers – social deduction, logic based games and more; perfect for kids who enjoy a good mystery or putting it all together to find the solution!

Custom Parties upon request:

• Outdoor Action – Held in Prospect Park, we’ll be running our most popular park games from our outdoor programs or our much celebrated battle lab with safe, foam swords.

• Dungeons and Dragons – Get immersed in high fantasy adventure with our professional Game Masters bringing the story to life with spells, sorcery, and custom adventures where the only limit is your imagination!

• Pokemon or Magic: the Gathering! – We’ve got prebuilt decks, knowledgable staff, and an eagerness to see any cards our birthday stars bring from home. We’re always ready to throw down cards at any skill level!

• Online – Not in person? No problem! Zoom parties will have kids working together while flexing their minds as they play cooperative word association board games, D&D, Pokemon, or anything you’d request!

Our attentive, kid-friendly party crew teaches and guides party guests throughout the party, so all kids—from beginners to experts—stay happy and in the action. Plus, your party is the only party in the Lab, so the kids are always center stage. That’s why you get our full attention from the planning stage through to the big day. We’ll take care of activity and space set-up, greeting and entertaining the kids, and—best of all—clean up!

Covid POlicy

• Upon arrival, and before being admitted to programming, staff and all attendees undergo a Health Screening and Vaccination Status process, which includes a questionnaire and a temperature check. Contactless thermometers are provided for administering temperature checks. Responses are treated as confidential information and no temperatures are recorded.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can younger siblings attend if they don't participate?

Yes, younger siblings of the birthday honoree are welcome to stay in the Lab as long as they are supervised by an adult. We have enough space for younger kids to hang out and play games on their own.

May I come early to decorate?

Yes, please come by about 15 minutes before your party starts.

Do I have to decorate?

Not at all — many parents choose not to decorate.

When will the food / cake be served?

A break for food and cake happens about an hour and a half into the party.

Is gratuity for staff included in the cost?

No. We don’t include gratuity for staff in our party fee. Our staff works hard, so any gesture of appreciation is — appreciated!

Is cleanup included in the cost?

Yes, we’ll take care of all clean up so you don’t have to!

What is your refund policy?

We do not offer refunds for birthday parties. If a party needs to be rescheduled, we will work with you to find a date and time that works for your family! If you need to reschedule a party within 14 days of the event, there is a rescheduling fee of $150 (plus the cost of any specific accommodations that we’ve made for your party based on your requests). Brooklyn Game Lab may waive this fee.
